The Gold Standard! I'm a believer in the wisdom and precision with which Joseph Pilates created his "Contrology" matwork series so it's been a true honor and privilege to have taken Darien's Classical Pilates mat classes for the past 3 years. Darien is a second generation instructor taught by Mr. Pilates' protégé Romana Kryzanowska. The focus, dedication, and laser precision - along with plenty of warmth, humor, and encouragement - Darien brings to every class has me hooked. I admit, I can't get enough, I depend on getting to her Tuesday 6:30 pm and Saturday 10:30 am classes at Contessi Ballet (and WISH I could make the Monday and Wednesday 9 am classes). I've been dealing with a torn meniscus in my knee the past 9 months and under Darien's expert eye I've been able to keep in shape even while having to give up all other exercise! I also use Darien's apps during the week, as well as the ultimate treat, a monthly private session at Darien's own immaculate studio. The BEST! There's several options when it comes to Pilates mat classes in town and none can compare to the experience/work out I get with Darien.......Highly recommend!
